With the occasion of the Russian Congress of Nephrology, Dr. Marco, Count
Marcov, visited Moscow. This travel gave the opportunity to visit the
grave of Count Irakly Ivanovich Marcov, in Vagankov. Count Marcov was
given recognition from the Cossack Ataman Mr. Sovolev and was also invited
by the Deputy General Director of the Russian Parliamentarian Club Mrs

Preparatives
for a new Rotarian project. Oct 2009 |

Count Marcov started the preparative for a new solidarity project scheduled
for 2010 with the participation of the wine producer company “Macia Batle”.
The Russian artist Anfisa Zinchenko contributed with the donation of a
painting specially done for this occasion. |

Russian gala ball in Mallorca, Oct 167th, 2009 |

Following the tradition of Vienna, about 200 guests assisted to the dancing
of the Russian debutants at the Palace “Pueblo Espanol” in grand gala
dresses. The event included dinner, performances of the first fine artists
of Balshoe theatre in Moscow, and classic and modern orchestra. Count

Quality
of Hospital kidney transplant program recognized. 28th Sep, 2009 |

Almost 600 kidney transplants have been performed at the Son Dureta University
Hospital with excellent results. The regional Minister of Health visited
the Hospital and met with Dr. Marco, Count Marcov and head of department
of Nephrology. During the last 10 years the number of transplants has
increased significantly. The results in survival of graft and patients
stand on the very first places among the different top transplant programs
of the world. |

The association of renal patients in Mallorca (Alcer) celebrated its 30th
anniversary. Dr. Marco, count Marcov was active in the creation of this
association in 1979. He was one of the signers of the constitutional document
and the only one of the signers still active, assisting now to this 30th
anniversary. Dr. Marco’s team at the university hospital of Son Dureta
was recognized by the association together with other contributing institutions
and organizations. |

Visiting
"Raixa" the old rural palace of the Despuig family after restoration

This palace that belonged to the famous Cardinal Despuig has been open
after restoration as a public museum place. The Despuig family referred
in other part of this web, was related to the Marcov by John Lacy Despuig,
father-in-law of Count Nikolay Iraklievich Marcov. The Cardinal Despuig
famous roman antique sculptures collection are now located at the museum
of Bellver Castle. |

with its projects in Africa. The gala included a dancing exhibition of

Visit
to the Bavarian Alps, Sonthofen April 09 |

On the occasion of attending to a new international research project meeting,
Count Marcov visited the most southerly town of Germany in the Oberallgäu
region. The scientific agenda occupied most of the time but there was
still time for enjoying a typical Bavarian dinner. Russian delegation
was near the Spanish one and both groups enjoyed together. At the VIP
lounge of the airport the Class 2008-09 of the “Course of Expert in Protocol
and Ceremonial” of the Balearic University posed with Count Marcov. |

With the traditional solemnity, Archimandrite Makary general Vicar for
Spain and Portugal of the Patriarchate of Moscow and all Russias conducted
the religious celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ at the parish
of the Nativity of Our Lord. This year, as it was coincident with the
world folk contest in Mallorca, many dancers coming from the Orthodox
countries came to the church wearing their typical national dresses. |

international mini-football contest “Count Marcov” Entire money collection
dedicated to a Rotarian alphabetization project, March 09 |

A
new non-for profit project of Count Marcov, with the participation of
the best mini-football players of the Balearic islands, and the well known
Futsal Club Kiev Unisport-SGB of Ukraine.
Due to the help of different sponsors, all the collection of donatives
will be used for a join project between Rotary Club Palma-Almudaina and
Rotary Club Vinnitsa.
The
Ukrainian delegation arrived on Sunday 15th, and started playing in Inca
a friendship training game with a selection of the best players of two
local clubs. The game was presided by the Major of the city H.E. Mr. Pere
Rotger, the Deputy Mayoress Mrs. Magdalena Cantarellas, and other council
members of the city that escorted Count Marcov. The president of the Football
federation Mr. Bestard and the President of the mini-football committee
Mr. Nespereira were also present.
Wednesday was the time for another friendship training game against the
“Fisiomedia Manacor”, the only team of the islands at the highest honour
league.
The trophy itself started on Wednesday morning with a press conference
at the football federation headquarters. The councilmen of sports of the
city of Palma and CEO of the Municipal Institute of Sports Mr. Baldomero
Oliver attended the meeting together with a representation of the Football
federation, the presidents and coaches of the teams, and count Marcov
On Friday 20th, the first game took place in Calvia, near Palma de Mallorca.
Again the authorities of the town attended the game and escorted Count
Marcov. The Kiev team was the winner of this first game.
The last games took place in Palma on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd. The
Municipal palace of sports of Genova-San Agustin in Palma de Mallorca
was chosen for the final games. The second game was for the Fisiomedia
Manacor that also gained the final and the trophy. City and Football Balearic
Federation authorities escorted Count Marcov during the delivery of cups
and commemorative medals. The players presented a ball with their signatures
to count Marcov.
The visit ended with a farewell lunch and the invitation of the R. Mallorca
club to attend the corresponding first football league game at the Ono
stadium against the At. Madrid. |

of the Eagle of Georgia and the Seamless Tunic of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
knighted H.E. Count Marcov with the Grand Cross. Count Marcov in gala
uniform representing the Kiev Noble Assembly, received the decoration
in a bright ceremony that took place at the "Palacio de Exposiciones
y Congresos" in Madrid, Saturday 24th January. Celebration included
a gala dinner. |

The Spanish Vicar and legal delegate for Spain and Portugal of the Russian
Orthodox Church, dedicated special moments during Sunday's
holy liturgy (Dec 7th) to the last Patriarch Alexis II. After liturgy,
a particular "panegida", (Russian pray for the deceased) was
prayed. The ceremony was coordinated by Count Marcov and counted with
the assistance of the General Vicar of the Roman Catholic Bishopric, the
Right Rev. Mr. Lluc Riera in representation of the Majorca’s Roman Catholic
bishop. |

Drug-addiction
rehabilitation solidarity dinner-gala, Majorca, October 2008 |

The “night of the smiles” was a philanthropic Grand Gala organized by
“Projecte Jove” foundation linked to “Projecte Home”. The leader of these
projects Mr. Tomeu Catala has dedicated over 30 years to procure the rehabilitation
of drug addicts. The Rotary Clubs of Majorca and the Lyons have been recognized
due to their early and substantial contributions to these projects. |

of the village museum of Kukavka, Ukraine, October 2008 |

Count Marcov presided in the village of Kukavka (Vinnitsa, Ukraine), the
inauguration of the Museum dedicated to the Counts Marcov and to the romantic
painter Tropinin, serf of Count Irakly Ivanovich. The village museum was
opened with a contribution of Count Marcov and also with the financial
assistance of Rotary Club Palma Almudaina and Rotary Club Vinnitsa. Governmental,
Rada (Parliament) and Local authorities including the majors of the villages
of Kukavka and Serebrianets, assisted to the celebration, together with
the Director and curator of the Tropinin
Museum, coming from Moscow and the Director of the Museum of Fine
Arts of Vinnitsa. With this occasion a new meeting of the Ukrainian, French
and Spanish lines of the family took place. |

Visit
to Holy Land, September 2008 |

Count Marcov invited his mother, Countess widow Maria Luz, to visit Israel
with the occasion of her 90th birthday. Although she was also a great
traveler, this was the first time for both to visit Holy Land. The private
visit included several places of Jerusalem (Mount of Olives, the Garden
of Getsemany, the Wailing wall, the Last supper room and the Holy Sepulchre)
together with other historical sites such as Caesarea, Haifa, Capharnaum,
the Dead Sea, the Jordan River and Nazareth. The visit included also a
tour for the Israel Museum and the Knesset. |

Tretyakov Gallery, Davidov palace and Tropinin Museum, Moscow, August

Count Marcov and daughter visited Tretyakov Gallery stores where some
portraits of the Marcov family are located. Mrs. Anna A. Pogodina, from
the Gallery staff guided the visit and provided expert comments. The Marcovs
were accompanied by Mrs. Olga N. Kulikovsky-Romanov widow of Tsar Alexander
III’s grandson, and also by the Staff of the Tropinin museum, Mrs. Irina
A. Egorova (director), and Mrs. Nadiezda A. Kudravsheva. After Tretyakov,
the group moved to Davidov palace that actually keeps the works of the
museum of Tropinin during the restoration of the building. The program
ended with a visit to the building in reconstruction, where the administrative
area is already working. There, an exchange of documents, related to Tropinin
and the counts Marcov, was done. |
