Count Nikolay Ivanovich Marcoff (Mîðêîâ)
( Born (*) 2nd October 1743, † (*) 9th May 1811)

He took part in the first Russian-Turkish war. Heavily wounded, he was retired with the rank of Major-General. Married to Praskovia Vasil’evna Skvortsova (b (*) 2nd May 1755 † 14th October 1800), they had two daughters, Countess Praskovia Nikolaevna (Circa 1780 † 14th July/Juny 1832), who married (Tsypovka Circa 1799) Major-General Prince Andrei Mikhailovich Obolenskii (Glukhovo [Moscow] 19th Jan 1765 † Moscow 4th Aug 1830), and Countess Varvara Nikolaevna (b. 1777, 25th Feb 1833)., who married State Councillor Mikhail Petrovich Rimskii-Korsakov (b Tikhvin-Novgorod 1791 , † 3rd Aug, 1836) (*).
(*) Accordingly with a web site information both Count Nikolay and his wife were born in Tsypovka (Øèïîâêà?) a small population very near Simbirsk (Ñèìáèðñê) now Ulyanovsk (Óëüÿíîâñê) the administrative center of Ulyanovsk Oblast. Accordingly with this source, Praskovia Nikolaevna died in Moscow.
